So, I saw the Krazy Coupon Lady on the Nate Show and thought…I could do that! These “Krazy” women save tons and I do mean TONS of money by utilizing lots of coupons and store sales. They have a fun website: www.TheKrazyCouponLady.com. It’s very inspiring with tons of how-to help.
Anybody out there ever try this? I’ve heard about fanatic couponers before, but was never sure how they did it. Now, I have the information to try it myself.
My favorite part? The binder! ๐ฎ They have this great big fat binder that they take shopping and have all the coupons organized in. I told my husband, I want the binder! You can even print their binder dividers out for free from their website…
Well, I printed them, put them in page protectors…now I just need to get that binder!
I am not sure if this is something that will simplify our lives or make it more hectic, but there’s only one way to find out… This could be fun!
DO GO FOR IT! Once you get started and get YOUR OWN way of doing things it does become easy. You get familiar with sale routines, coupons that “normally” come out (so you know what to buy only when you have a coupon for it…or wait for the coupon to come out !)… there is a lot of info. If you go with the big binder system, I would suggest you invest in one of the binders with ZIPPERS, so you can contain all your stuff in there. I have tried that, but I use a different system that just works best for me. Also, get familiar with the couponing policies at your favorite grocery store(s)….AND DON’T understimate drug stores (like walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, etc… whatever is around your area)…because there’s A LOT you can save there and get for free. There are even some groceries you can get there a lot cheaper… Please be encouraged and do give it a try. I can honestly tell you, couponing alone helps our family make ends meet and allows me to stay at home with my girls. I have a couple of posts on couponing on my blog if you would like to take a look. Best of luck in this!! I am a couponing addict! ๐
Thanks for the encouragement! I love that couponing helps you be a stay-at-home mother – that’s incredible! I’ve been checking out the sale flyers from my local stores and now I just need coupons. ๐ Can’t wait for Sunday to roll around so I can buy a paper and get my collection going. Thanks too for all the tips. I would love to read your posts on couponing – what’s your blog address? Forgive me if that info is here somewhere, I am new to blogging… ๐ฎ
